Hello, fellow Glitchen!
Today I decided to stop putting it off and try making an Icon of Spriggan to keep on my desk. I started with this image and digitally painted the background, using this photograph for some texture. I’ve uploaded my PSD file here, if you want to edit it yourself. If Glitch taught me anything, it’s to share efforts in creativity. ♥
I printed the image onto cardstock, and used double-sided tape to adhere it to a piece of cardboard (leaving a slight edge upon which to affix the twigs). The twigs were from a tree in my yard that I pruned earlier this year — and is the same one in the photographs above!
I used a strong pair of scissors to score the twigs before snapping them at the proper length, then used epoxy to glue them onto the cardboard. It dries REALLY FAST, as I learned today, so don’t stop to take pictures like I did, whoops.
Lastly, I used spray adhesive and sphagnum moss (the same kind I give to my hermit crabs) to give the bottom some decoration.
It only took about a half hour and although it’s not identical to the one in the game, I’m pleased with the way it turned out. If you have any questions I can help with, just let me know. :D
